The Bathroom Business
Before the charts, there was a van. Archie ran a bathroom and heating systems business — the kind of work that fixes problems other people would rather not look at. The hours were long. The margins were earned.
Trading started in the spare hours. Evenings after the last call-out, mornings before the first. The market did not care that he was tired, and the discipline of running a business carried over: show up, do the work, charge what it is worth.
